So, the kids go back to school tomorrow and I can almost officially say we've made it through the summer. They've only got half-days until Thursday and then they're off again on Friday and Monday for Labor Day. I'm not entirely sure why they went back this week at all. I think it's just a cruel joke to play on parents and caregivers. This summer I'm not entirely sure what has happened to Alice but she wakes up in the morning and it's like she's on something. She's got the highest energy level I've ever experienced and it does not stop until she goes to bed. Nick and I actually watched her scale some vertical bars at the playground the other day using only her hands. We're going to video her doing it next weekend so that people can really understand. It is crazy. This was the same day that she came and did sprints at a local track with Nick and I and then ran a few laps. We're not really sure where we should have her deflect all of that energy but she definitely needs a more productive outlet.
